Best Seattle Area Photoshoot Locations for Senior Pictures

Wondering where to take your senior pictures in and around Seattle? You’re in luck – there are so many incredible places here for your senior photoshoot! We are surrounded by forests, cityscapes, mountains, fields, flowers, beaches, and lush greenery.

Once you book your photoshoot with me, we’ll meet on a video call to plan your photoshoot and decide on your locations. I’ll have you fill out a short questionnaire before we meet so you can let me know what types of locations you are interested in (e.g. city, forest, flowers, beach, etc). Then when we meet to plan your photoshoot, I will show you a specially-curated slideshow of location options with photos so you can decide which one(s) you like best.

Of the three senior photoshoot packages I offer, Packages 1 and 2 include multiple locations, which is great if you’re looking for lots of variety in your senior photos.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite photoshoot spots in the greater Seattle area organized by type of location. I hope this helps inspire you with ideas for your senior photoshoot!

Fields

Discovery Park (July)

Want to spin around in a tall, grassy, field for your senior photoshoot? Do it! You’ll be totally immersed in nature while still being the center of attention in your photos. From spring to early summer you can expect fields of green, but in later summer through winter the grass will be more dried out and golden. Here are a couple of my favorite field photoshoot locations near Seattle:

Magnuson Park (November)
Discovery Park (June)
Magnuson Park (November)
Discovery Park (October)

City/Urban

If you want a location that looks great all year long, you can’t go wrong with the city. Whenever I photograph a senior session in the city, we always find new and unique backdrops for their photos. My go-to city locations include:

  • Seattle
    • Cute neighborhoods like Fremont and Ballard for small town vibes
    • Downtown Seattle parking garage rooftops, waterfront, piers
  • Bellevue
  • Kirkland

Some of my favorite flowers to include in your photoshoot are sunflowers, pink wild sweet peas, lupine, daisies, zinnias, and dahlias. If you want flowers in your senior photos, aim to book your photoshoot between June and October. Some wonderful flower photoshoot locations near and in Seattle include:

Whether it’s a typical Seattle cloudy day or a colorful summer sunset, the waterfront is a stunning location for senior photos. We’re lucky to be close to so many beaches, lakes, and rivers, here are a few of my favorites:

Adventure

Park near Mount Si (October)

Make your senior photos epic with a unique destination! One of my favorite spots that doesn’t involve too much driving is North Bend and the view of Mount Si. Some other ideas I have include:

  • Rattlesnake Lake
  • Mount Rainier National Park
  • Rosario Beach near Deception Pass

I hope these locations inspired you with ideas for your senior photos! Certain locations, especially those with flowers, only work in certain seasons and months.
